If the property has pool fencing, stairs, bannisters, etc, do these comply with the building standards and are they safe? If not, these may have to be replaced and in some cases before settlement.

Are the smoke detectors compliant and installed in the correct locations? If smoke detectors are placed in dead air zones, they may not work efficiently!

BuildInspect reports are not a termite inspection (however should surface evidence be found during the inspection it will be noted in the report). We recommend that after a building report, you obtain a termite inspection from a registered pest control company which should be conducted in accordance with the Australian standards.
